Benefit Concert Provides Shelter
The annual Well, Well, Well benefit concert "Gimme Shelter" rocked Lamborn Hall for the sixth year in a row on Friday evening, January 30. This year's event, sponsored by the Middle School's Leadership and Rock Shop clubs, featured five Middle School bands, upper schooler Alivia P. and her band "La for Another," and local teen band "Worth Your While." The event raised $2,400, all of which will be used to construct shelters for Darfurian refugees who have been driven from their homeland in the Sudan.
A large portion of the proceeds came from a successful auction orgranized by Posey Valis, Debbie Stover, and Carmen Sund. Thanks to all who supported the bands and the cause.
