Greatest Good McDonogh Stuffs a Bus

Thanks to the generosity of the McDonogh community, the 2021 Stuff-a-Bus Campaign was a huge success!

As part of the effort, Greatest Good McDonogh worked with Upper School SGA Service Representatives to investigate the root causes of hunger in Maryland. The students learned how to build their advocacy skills by coordinating a schoolwide campaign during Spirit Week. They educated the community about hunger, posted promotional flyers created by first-grade advocacy artists, and were stationed at the bus each morning to receive donations.

In just four days, the hard work paid off. The campaign collected an impressive 1,484 pounds of non-perishable food items. The bus was so stuffed that it was unable to drive the donations to the Maryland Food Bank! Don't worry, arrangements were made and the food was delivered.
