Culture and Camaraderie at Eighth Grade Overnight
Despite steady showers, McDonogh's intrepid eighth grade class enjoyed two days of fun and discovery on an overnight trip to Camp Puh’Tok on Wednesday and Thursday, September 25 and 26. During the adventurous get-away, they were introduced to the sport of archery, challenged by the low ropes courses, and participated in team-building exercises. They also had the unique opportunity to engage in a program about the Indigenous people who once lived in the area. Although brief (and soggy) the two days fostered greater camaraderie among the students as they stepped out of their comfort zones and enhanced their cultural awareness.
