A Taste of McDonogh's Many Cultures

Flavors of Culture, an opportunity for Middle and Upper School students to sample foods from around the world, debuted on Friday, September 20. A project of the Office of Equity and Inclusion, it is a way for students to learn about the importance of foods to the heritage, cultures, and religious holidays celebrated in our community. In observance of Hispanic Heritage Month, Sage Dining prepared samples of posole, a traditional dish commonly served at parties and festive events in Mexican culture. Next on the menu will be samples of the foods enjoyed at Rosh Hashanah prepared by members of the Jewish Heritage parent affinity group, in collaboration with the Jewish Awareness Club.
