What inspired you to work at a school?

Photographer: Maddox Christian '26

The thing that inspired me to work at McDonogh was my dad. He worked here in the Maintenance Department as a carpenter and foreman, and I wanted to follow in his footsteps.

Are there any memorable or impactful moments in your job or time with McDonogh that stand out to you?

The most impactful memory of my job is when my dad retired. I worked with him for over 20 years, and it was upsetting to me to see him leave, but I am happy for him that he is enjoying retirement. The most memorable thing for me is when I was promoted to be in charge of shipping and receiving (Mail Room).

Outside of school, what are some of your interests or hobbies that you’re passionate about?

My hobbies include: fishing, hunting, collecting comic books and toys (pop culture), and working out.

How do you recharge and find inspiration when you’re not at school?

To recharge I like working out in the fitness center. It gives me energy to do my job.

Do you have a favorite place on campus? What makes it your favorite?

My favorite place on campus is being in the woods. I like the peacefulness of it and the beauty.
