We would love to meet you and share McDonogh’s campus and program with your family. We encourage every family interested in applying to McDonogh to spend some time on campus. 

Upper School Campus Welcome & Tours

Join us on a weekday morning this fall and learn about our Upper School program while touring our thoughtfully curated learning spaces and campus. Prospective parents and students are welcome to attend. Our program begins at 9:00 a.m. and lasts 90 minutes.

Shadow Day Visits

Be an Eagle for the Day!

Prospective students can spend the day visiting academic and arts classes and enjoy lunch with an Upper School Guide to experience McDonogh on a first-hand basis. All students are hosted in their current grade except ninth-grade applicants who will visit with the ninth grade. Visit dates are held several times a week from October to the middle of January. Visits begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 3:15 p.m. 

Shadow Day visit registration can be completed upon submission of the initial online application form.

Athletic Program Open House: November 13

Middle and Upper School families are invited to join us for an Athletic Open House on Wednesday, November 13 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Rollins-Luetkemeyer Athletic Center. Hear from our Athletic Directors about McDonogh’s vision and philosophy for Middle and Upper school athletics. Meet Varsity coaches and current players, tour our athletic facilities, and learn more about the exciting athletic opportunities available at McDonogh.

Dance Concert and Reception: November 15-17

The talented Upper School Dance Ensemble will take the stage in the Horn Theatre the weekend of November 15-17. (The exact concert dates and times are still to be determined because some performers are also athletes and may be involved in the MIAA football playoff games.) We hope you will join us for a pre-show reception in the Admissions Office and the annual concert.

Coffee and conversation: LifeReady Learning

Please join us for coffee and an interactive and engaging overview of McDonogh’s academic vision, LifeReady. Kevin Costa, Director of LifeReady, will discuss how teaching and learning at McDonogh prepares young people of character for a future that is continually evolving.  This session is designed for parents and guardians.
