Celebration of Diwali and Muharram
Decorated with traditional holiday adornments, including diya (small clay lamps), a Koran and its hand-carved stand, and a picture of the Kaaba (Islam’s holiest place), Tagart Memorial Chapel was filled with beautiful music and meaningful stories as students in first through fourth grade celebrated Diwali and Muharram on Tuesday, November 13. Parents Archana Rami and Umbreen Majeed, with valuable assistance from children, helped to clarify the meaning and importance of these feasts in the Hindu and Muslim traditions.
