Fifth Grade Trout Release
On Wednesday, May 29, fifth grade students released 104 rainbow trout fingerling into Gwynns Falls stream as part of the Trout in the Classroom program, sponsored by TroutUnlimited and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Fifth grade scientists raised the trout while learning about water quality and environmental issues such as water pollution. The morning release ended with students skipping rocks and cleaning up trash along the stream.
