7th Grade Packs 30,000 Meals for the Hungry
For two solid hours, 98 seventh graders packaged 30,000 nutritiously balanced meals for the hungry in Haiti and Baltimore. Working with the non-profit organization No Child Hungry, the event, held on Friday, April 1, was the culmination of the seventh grade study on issues of human rights, hunger, and sustainability. During the past two months, students raised more than $9,000 – enough to package the meals. With every 1,000 meals packed, a gong clanged in celebration!
