Eighth Grade Escapes
Always looking for new and inventive ways to engage middle schoolers, Gregg Kleiman designed an escape room experience that promotes teamwork and puts their problem-solving skills to the test. For the last month, teams of eighth graders have spent recess attempting to find all the clues, codes, and puzzles that solve the mystery of the "Alien Teacher." Filled with padlocks, keypads, moving walls, and invisible ink the room has so far remained undefeated, with the closest team solving 95% of the puzzle. Five teams still have the chance to solve the mystery, and if they are up to the challenge they will win a pizza and ice cream sundae party.
