Freshmen Join Third Grade for Morning of Blanket-Making
Third and ninth graders spent the morning of Wednesday, October 10 snipping and smiling, talking and tying as they created cozy “blankets of hope” together. The blanket-making was the second step in the annual project. Earlier this year, the younger students inspired by the book Shoeshine Girl by Clyde Robert Bulla, raised the funds for the fleece fabric by holding a shoeshine stand. In November, the blankets will be donated to the Red Devils, an organization that supports the needs of cancer patients and their families.
