Shoeshine Stand Celebrates Ten Years
Shoes of every kind walked into the Kelly Center on Friday, September 20 and made their way to the third grade’s Shoeshine Stand. The students dusted, polished, and buffed hundreds of shoes and graciously accepted tips. The money will be used to buy fleece for blankets that the students will make and donate to The Red Devils, an organization that supports breast cancer patients. The annual project, inspired by the book “The Shoeshine Girl” by Clyde Robert Bulla, began with the current senior class.
