Students and families from all three divisions enjoyed a taste of the diverse cultures that help shape the lives of the McDonogh community at the annual Multicultural Night celebration on Friday, March 6 in Paterakis Hall. Guests sampled authentic cuisine from across the world including dumplings prepared by Upper and Lower School Chinese language students and empanadas de pollo, pan con tomate y jamón serrano, and tortilla de patata Española prepared by Upper School Spanish language students. Additionally, parents shared desserts including alfajores (Peru), baklava (Turkey), and dulce frio (Dominican Republic). A showcase of student performances spanning the globe included songs in Spanish and Chinese sung by the first grade, traditional Chinese and Indian folk dances, and an Italian musical performance.
