Throughout the month of February, the third grade has been studying the Civil Rights Movement. From household names to unsung heroes, each student chose a civil rights leader to focus on and researched their life and contributions. In years past, students have embodied the subject of their research for a "Living Museum of Civil Rights Heroes," but due to COVID restrictions, the Class of 2030 had to get creative. Mustering their artistic talents, students created “bottle buddies” to serve as beautiful representations of these most important icons. Their work was then displayed throughout the halls of the Lower School on Friday, February 26 to create a museum dedicated to the Civil Rights Movement.
