The 29th Annual Stewart Senior Recital on Friday, June 3 featured seniors Mia Li, Delaney Thompson, and Caroline Walther. The three recitalists, who auditioned in their junior year, were selected for their notable contributions to the performing arts at McDonogh. Throughout their senior year they staged the production under the direction of Philip Olsen. Mia, who showcased her ability on the cello and the piano, performed solo numbers as well as duets with her father and brother. Delaney’s love for and talent in musical theater was evident in her song selections and performances including the opening number, Gershwin’s “Summertime.” Caroline, who choreographed each of her dances, was also responsible for teaching a handful of other students who at times joined her on stage. After their individual performances, the trio came together for the final number, “You Will Be Found” from Dear Evan Hansen. Congratulations to the performers and their teachers.
