Club Demonstrates Meaning of All In(clusive)
The Special Olympics Club has had a busy week. On Sunday, February 26 they were part of a group of more than 40 McDonogh upper schoolers who spent the day at Wisp Ski Resort supporting Special Olympics athletes as they participated in the Winter Games. A few days later on March 1, the club organized an All In(clusive) Day. United by dressing in blue, Upper and Middle School students pledged to “spread inclusion" and shared their plans for doing so. At the end of the day, upper schoolers visited Lower School classrooms and read We're All Wonders, a book that celebrates kindness, belonging, and friendship. They also led discussions about differences and including others.
