First Graders Buzzing About Bees

First graders were all abuzz on a field trip to Roots Farm where they learned about the importance of honey bees and pollinators. Classes on Friday, May 5, rotated between activity stations that included decorating flower seed packets, playing a honey bee pollinator race, learning what a beekeeper does to take care of hives, and having pizza made with the San Marzano tomatoes grown on the farm.
