McDonogh Welcomes Students from Japan
After two weeks on campus, on Monday, April 3, McDonogh said, "Sayonara!" to the eight students and two chaperones from Seijo Gakuen Senior High School—our sister school in Tokyo, Japan. During their visit, the group attended classes with their peers, and spent time with host families, sight-seeing, and soaking up American life. Students in all three divisions enjoyed visiting with and learning from the Japanese students who played games, shared a bit of their culture and answered questions. The visit was part of a biennial exchange program that began more than 30 years ago. The 2023 visit was the first since the COVID-19 pandemic.
