Archives Hosts Series of Discussions
Following the opening of the Wilson | Young Archives & Special Collections, new programming was introduced in early 2024 as a way of sharing the School’s rich history with the McDonogh community including alumni, parents, and retirees. The three well-attended discussions were led by passionate alumni with deep connections to the School. At the first gathering in late February, Butch Maisel '72 spoke about the history of McDonogh’s uniforms and insignia (1873 to 1971); next, Jeff MacHamer '70 discussed the Foxleigh Mansion and the "Old Main" Building (1883-1928); and finally in May, Archives Liaison Jon Aaron '72 described how the Wilson | Young archives reveals McDonogh's magical story.
