McDonogh Hosts Battle of the Books
Turning pages into victories, McDonogh Middle School hosted this year's Battle of the Books on April 29 and 30, welcoming fellow book enthusiasts from across the area to showcase their literary prowess in an exciting showdown. This annual event helps to foster a community of avid readers and celebrate the joy of books together. Congratulations to all the participants. McDonogh students earning special recognition were:
Fifth Grade Team 1: Celie M., Carter H., Shreya G. and Sullivan Radford earned third place.
Sixth Grade Team 1: James C., Tobe N., Karthik S. and Kaylee X. earned third place.
Sixth Grade Team 2: Shreya B., Evan D., Aanya P., and Sakshi S. battled to win fourth place.
Eighth Grade Team 1: Zuri P., Sophia W., and DeMarcus T. placed fourth.
Eighth Grade Team 2: Angad S. and Rajan M. came in second place.
