Families of Black Students Enjoy 2024 Welcome
New and returning Black students and their families enjoyed a beautiful evening and a dessert reception on Wednesday, August 14 on the Ritter Terrace. The event, hosted by the Black Alumni Committee of the Alumni Association, was an opportunity for alumni, students, and parents to see old friends and make new acquaintances.
More than 100 guests listened as Head of School Dave Farace ’87 offered a warm welcome and other members of the community — Director of Equity and Inclusion Enaye Englenton, MPA Equity and Inclusion Committee Chair Tia Brown McNair, Alumni Association President Kimmy Hilson Carmichael ’10, and Black Alumni Committee Co-Chair David Holland ’90 — described their roles and the many ways in which students and parents can engage with the community, connect with each other, and find support.
