33rd Annual McDonogh Golf Classic
A record number of alumni, parents, faculty and friends teed up at Chestnut Ridge Country Club on Monday, October 20, 2008 for McDonogh's 33rd Annual Golf Classic. Under brilliantly blue skies, golfers enjoyed lunch on the terrace before a shotgun start.
Once play concluded, participants were treated to a cocktail reception, silent auction, dinner, and live auction. Ravens kicker Matt Stover was on hand to greet guests, sign autographs, and help with the live auction, led by Brad Dudley '79, of two Ravens tickets and an official football signed by Stover.
Congratulations to the foursome of Karl Lehmann '84, Shane Abernathy, Jeff Irrgang '83, and David Wells '84 for finishing their round at an impressive 58. Finishing with a score of 59 were Pete Ward '87, Rusty Ward '87, Brett Ingerman '87 and Greg Mix. Closest to the pin winners were Bo Dixon, Aaron Finkelstein, Greg Mix, and Leslie Papel. Longest drive for men went to Dave McIntyre, Tracy Bannantine for women, and Mike Oberlin for the senior division.
