A "Moo-ving" Experience
Lower schoolers cheered when Noreen Lidston, suitably attired, took a turn milking Daisy the cow in the glen by Childs Memorial Terrace. First, they serenaded her with a special song written for the occasion. Then, Mrs. Lidston sat on a stool beside Daisy and went to work.
Was Mrs. Lidston's first attempt at milking a cow successful? When she finished, she pulled a half-gallon milk jug from her bucket. Students weren't fooled, however, and all had a chance later to see what Daisy actually produced.
Thanks to Daisy and her owners, the Yoders, and to Mrs. Lidston. What will she do for next year's Summer Reading Challenge?
