E. Carey Kenney: A Retrospective
As art department head from 1947 to 1980, Ed Kenney taught McDonogh students to draw, paint, and appreciate art as a scholarly pursuit. He has honed his own skills as a painter over the years, rendering scenes of McDonogh life that hang in prominent spots around campus.
A retrospective of E. Carey Kenney's oil portraits and watercolor landscapes will be featured in the Tuttle Gallery from Tuesday, September 9 through Saturday, October 11. All are invited to the opening reception honoring the artist, Wednesday, September 10 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the gallery. A special guest, antiques consultant Stiles Colwill '70, will offer remarks about his former teacher. Call 410-998-3511 for information.
