Holiday Project
The Holiday Project, McDonogh's annual drive to collect new gifts and food money for families in need, concluded with an abundant delivery last Thursday to St. Gregory the Great Church in Sandtown-Winchester. There, volunteer coordinator Gloria Williams supervised the distribution of gifts and grocery gift certificates to the 123 families sponsored by McDonogh classes k-12 and staff.
Williams also relied on McDonogh for help when one of her sponsoring groups failed to provide food for eleven other families. McDonogh's generous collection provided enough for grocery gift certificates for them, too.
Said McDonogh's Holiday Project organizer, Director of Religious Studies John Grega, "Special thanks to all who had some hand in this effort, and they are many! May you and yours know blessing and light in the days ahead."
