Although he did not learn to read until he was 12, Mooney was able to graduate from Brown University a little more than ten years later with honors in English literature. With the publication of his book Learning Outside the Lines, which is part memoir and part alternative study skills guide, Mooney established himself as one of the foremost leaders in LD/ADHD and alternative education.
Jonathan Mooney is currently the executive director of Project Eye-To-Eye, a nationally acclaimed mentoring program for children with learning disabilities or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. The project pairs college students with LD/ADHD as role models, tutors, and mentors for elementary school children with similar learning differences.
A dynamic speaker, Mooney inspires all who hear him, not just students with learning differences. Don’t miss this special talk, which is cosponsored by the McDonogh Patrons and Friends School.
