School community observes Memorial Day
Students and faculty gathered this morning at Memorial Court to honor members of the McDonogh family killed while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Headmaster Bo Dixon and head of religious studies John Grega led the service. They encouraged students to reflect on the courage shown and sacrifices made by the men and women who have given their lives to defend our country. Keeping with tradition, the lower school bell choir performed at the beginning and end of the service, and a 12th grade student [David B.] played Taps.
The cicadas were unusually quiet and presented no problems.
