The second graders in Room 213 performed 'Fossilize', a play about children at a summer camp. Camp Fossilize was founded by Dr. Franklin Diggitup and the campers go on archaeological digs. Unfortunately for the campers, two people find oil on the camp grounds and want to take over the camp, tear it down with a bulldozer, and dig for oil. How the kids save their camp is the story of the play. It has something to do with a unique dino-find that the kids discover in the Dino-strata and taking the 'Big Guy' on t.v. hosted by Jay (or Jane) Jeno! Bobby Horsey played Jay Jeno and Noreen Lidston was a wonderful stand-in for Bobby during our evening performance. The real audience became the studio audience as the house lights came up and the kids appealed for help. All in all, it was a great experience, the second graders did a wonderful job and Mrs. Lewis was very happy to be involved in a small scale production. Her collaborators, Victor Giordano, Pete Hengen, and Susan Sidney once again made it all the more fun!
