Seventh Grade Shoots the Rapids

Rain has been an unrelenting foe to many of McDonogh's spring events this year...but last Friday the high water levels were an unexpected treat for the seventh grade. Middle schoolers travelled to Harper's Ferry on Friday, May 30 to run the rapids on the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers, and what a ride it was. Water levels were at about 6 feet as opposed to 4 feet in previous years and the impact was felt by many students and teachers who popped out of their rafts at various points in the day. Luckily help was never far off and a good time was had by all.
