Emmanuel Yeboah, the one-legged Ghanaian man whose bicycle trek across his native country helped to change the negative perceptions of the disabled, will share his inspirational story at McDonogh tonight (Wednesday, October 7) at 7 p.m. in the Ceres M. Horn Theatre. He will show a clip from “Emmanuel’s Gift,” the Oprah Winfrey-narrated documentary of his life story, and answer audience questions. All are welcome to this free event.
Yeboah's visit is made possible by the Herbert Bearman Foundation in memory of Jill K. Bearman '88. Jill lost her courageous battle with cystic fibrosis in 1986. It is fitting given her spirited fight against the disease and her determination to fully participate in school life in the process that this program is brought to the McDonogh Community in honor of Jill's memory.
