Sculpture by award-winning artist Rachel Rotenberg will be on display in the Tuttle Gallery from November 11 to December 18. A gallery reception will be held on Thursday, November 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. All are welcome.
Rotenberg has been telling stories through sculpture for 30 years. She works primarily with cedar and oil paint, and sometimes incorporates elements of metal, wire, rope, and vine to stir emotions of surprise, frustration, triumph, and delight. Rotenberg refers to her work as "a kind of meditation with forms."
The Tuttle Gallery provides a forum for artists to show their work to both the McDonogh community and the public at large. It also exposes students to contemporary art and gives them an opportunity to learn firsthand from the artists.
Located in Lyle Building, the Tuttle Gallery is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
