Miss MD Brooke Poklemba '04 Comes Home to McD
Miss Maryland Brooke Poklemba '04 came back to campus on Monday, January 11 to talk to students about her platform on autism awareness and what it is like to be a representative for the state. She also shared memories of her time as a student and encouraged the middle and upper schoolers in attendance to get involved and take advantage of all the opportunities McDonogh has to offer. Brooke said that the arts and athletic activities she participated in really helped her become the person she is today.
After a question and answer session, Brooke sang the song that she will perform during the Miss America Pagent on Saturday, January 30 on TLC at 8 p.m. TLC will also air a pre-show on Friday, January 29 at 10 p.m., and viewers will have an opportunity to cast votes. Tune in...our Brooke is amazing.
