See McDonogh at the Baltimore Book Festival This Weekend

The Baltimore Book Festival is September 24-26, 2010, and McDonogh School will be there! Visit our booth, W-12 on the festival map, located just west of the Washington Monument in Mt. Vernon.

Members of McDonogh's own family of authors, artists, and illustrators will be on hand, including:

  • Lucy Martin, middle school learning specialist, author of Strategies for Teaching Students With Learning Disabilities, Sat. noon-5 p.m. and Sun. 2-6 p.m.
  • Donna Jackson Nakazawa, parent, author of The Autoimmune Epidemic and Does Anybody Else Look Like Me, Sun. noon-4 p.m.
  • Steven Cunningham, parent, author of Dinosaur Name Poems, Fr. 4-7 p.m., Sat. 4-7 p.m.
  • Martin Schmidt, teacher, author of Maryland's Geology, Fr. 3-7 p.m., Sat. 3-8 p.m.
  • Susan Detwiler, alumni parent, illustrator of Pandas' Earthquake Escape and One Wolf Howls, just to name two, Sat. and Sun noon-4 p.m.
  • Middleton Evans '82, photographer and author of Rhapsody in Blue, Maryland's Great Outdoors, and Bodhi, Sun. noon-5 p.m.

The 15th annual Baltimore Book Festival will welcome more than 225 celebrity, nationally known and local authors. They include Holly Robinson Peete, Rodney Peete, Barbara Bradley Hagerty, Nigel Barker, Ree Drummond, Michele Norris, Sherri Sheppard, Judge Glenda Hatchett, Jesse Ventura, Warren St. John, Amy Dickinson ("Ask Amy") and Matt and Ted Lee.
