Students Rewarded With Visit From Harlem Globetrotter
On Monday, November 8, Mrs. Irvings first graders from last year received a private visit from Harlem Globetrotter Andre "Hot Shot" Branch for finishing top two in the Howard Johnson's nationwide "The Give Happy Challenge."
Hot Shot applauded the kids' efforts to help Baltimore's homeless, and told them to keep up the good work. Stephen P. '21 shared, "Just because the contest is over, doesn't mean we can't still help."
After autographing items for the finalists, "Hot Shot" mesmerized the entire Lower School with his basketball wizardry. He also talked to students about teamwork and the importance of cooperation, effort, enthusiasm, responsibility, and maintaining a healthy mind and body.
