CMP Progress

The forecast for rain in the coming days will likely slow the pace of construction, but here is what's happening now on the Campus Master Plan:

  • The deceleration lane on McDonogh road has been paved. The construction will now shift to widen the lane on the west side (towards Painters Mills Road).
  • Field 6 is being regraded and sod will be laid this week. However, the field will not be ready for use until spring.
  • Work is progressing rapidly on utility lines to the left of Woods Road.
  • The field 7 parking lot will be paved this week. The lot won't be usable until utilities near the Rollins-Luetkemeyer Athletic Center are installed AND a new access road is built.
  • Project managers and school officials are continuing to look for practical ways to reduce building costs.
  • A required berm will be built between the storm water management pond and the girls soccer field. The original plans, which called for the soccer field to be moved south, placed the berm 15 feet in front of where the goal sits now.
  • Other changes may be made to the drawings to ensure proper drainage south of the St. John Building.
