Digging into the Campus Master Plan

Construction for the Campus Master Plan is moving ahead this week with the digging of a fifteen-foot-deep utility trench behind the site where Doyle’s Woods House formerly stood. Crews spent this morning installing the drainage connection for the storm water management system. When the site work is complete, the campus drainage will slope toward the storm water management pond and this drainage outlet.

In the photo with VP of Finance and Administration Larry Johnston, he stands next to a metal structure designed to hold the walls of the hole steady while workers are below ground level so that the dirt does not fall in around them.

During the summer, the crews will also be working on the field behind the R-L Center and the Lower School playground to put in turf fields and make utility changes.
