Dom Damico has been named Football Coach of the Year by The Baltimore Sun. This honor comes after the Eagles completed a perfect season (11-0) and won the MIAA A Conference Championship for the first time since 2006. Read more in The Baltimore Sun.
Additionally, according to an article in The Sun on Tuesday, December 17, "Almost six weeks after its season ended, McDonogh's football team debuted at No. 48 in the Student Sports FAB 50 national football rankings."Meanwhile, Soccer Coach Steve Nichols has been selected the 2013 Boys Private/Parochial School National Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Coach Nichols led the Eagles to the program's seventh MIAA A Conference Championship and its first unbeaten season. Read more in The Baltimore Sun.
Three student-athletes also received post-season honors by The Baltimore Sun. Anna Bialczak '14 was named Girls Soccer Player of the Year, George Campbell '14 was named Boys Soccer Player of the Year, and Wyatt Cook '15 earned Defensive Player of the Year for football. In addition, Campbell was named 2013 National Player of the Year (high school division) by the NSCAA.
