Freshman Creates Popular App
Rising freshman Ryan J. spent the last two months
developing an online game called Pic Quiz. His hard work
and creativity has paid off. The game, which allows players
to solve picture quizzes at various levels of difficulty, is
now available as a FREE app through the Apple Store.
“I really wanted to create a game that would reach a
broad audience,” shared Ryan. I had a lot of different ideas
for games, but I thought Pic Quiz would be the most
successful and fun.”
It turns out that his instincts were right. Just four
days after the game went live on June 21, Pic Quiz had
been downloaded over 500 times by people around the world.
That number continues to climb.
Pic Quiz offers 90 different combinations of photos that
when joined together make a word. If players get stuck
guessing the word, the game offers hints.

Ryan is quite resourceful for his age. Prior to teaching
himself how to build websites and online games through books
and video tutorials, Ryan spent much of his middle school
years making short films and video parodies. “He is always
creating some kind of media entity,” shared his parents,
Regina and Kirk.
During the summer, Ryan hopes to add another 90 photo
combinations for people who get “hooked” on the game. Good
