Danielle E. ’15 Named Sun’s Athlete of the Week
Congratulations to Danielle E. ’15, who was named the March 11, 2014 female “Athlete of the Week” by the Baltimore Sun. Here’s what the Sun says about the basketball player: The All-Metro point guard led the No. 1 Eagles to the championship of the Bishop Walsh Girls Invitational Tournament in Cumberland last weekend. Danielle, a junior, had 32 points, 18 steals and 16 assists in wins over St. Maria Goretti (69-30), Elizabeth Seton (51-39) and Good Counsel (39-37). She was named to the All-Tournament team.
Danielle, who scored her 1,000th career point in McDonogh's Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference championship game victory, averaged 14.5 points, six steals and five assists as the Eagles finished 29-2. She has committed to play at Clemson.
