It’s been a banner year for McDonogh School’s equestrian team as a record number of riders from various age groups and divisions qualified for season finals and brought home an impressive collection of national and state titles. The yearlong riding season runs from December 1 to October 31.
“Riding competitively is not like the other varsity sports,” explains riding coach Amy Moore. “The girls who ride are extremely devoted to the sport. They ride five days a week and compete at least three weekends a month... pretty much all year. Competitive riding takes commitment, devotion, and determination."
