Softball Team Wins Championship Title
McDonogh's championship softball game against Chapelgate Christian
Academy on Monday, May 12 looked close. But the rain was closer and the game
was stopped with the score tied at 4-4 forcing the teams to return to Bachman
Sports Complex on Tuesday afternoon for a "do over."
Athletic Director Mickey Deegan reports, "The teams had to come back and
start all over. Well, a good night's rest and great pitching, defense, and clutch
hitting were the answers to a decisive victory over the Yellow Jackets. The Eagles
won 10-1."
McDonogh's softball team has not won a title in over five years! Congratulations
to Coach Folfas, Coach Collins, and the entire team for an outstanding season of
softball.
