Winter Teams Enter Championship Play
Winter sports teams are entering the championship phase of competition. Come out and cheer on our Eagles.
Indoor Track - Congratulations to the varsity boys and girls track teams who both defended their league championship titles.
Varsity Squash – McDonogh’s coed squash team will take on Boys Latin on Monday, February 3 at 4:15 p.m. at Meadow Mill. The winner will face Gilman the following day, Tuesday, February 4 at 4:15 p.m. at Meadow Mill. No fee.
Wrestling – McDonogh hosts Mt. Saint Joseph Friday, January 31 for the regular season wrestling title. On Friday and Saturday, February 7 and 8 the Eagles will compete for the MIAA team championship at Mt. Saint Joseph. Admission is $7.
Boys Swimming – The boys swim team will have their championship meet on Saturday, February 8 at McDonogh, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Finals take place at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $7.
Girls Basketball – McDonogh will host the basketball quarterfinals on Tuesday, February 11. The semi-final games will be Thursday, February 13; and the IAAM basketball championships are Sunday, February16 at 5:00 p.m. at Archbishop Spalding. Admission is $7.
