McDonogh's 16-member Model UN delegation traveled to Columbia University in New York City from January 16 to 19 for the annual conference simulating the work of the United Nations. During the weekend, McDonogh delegates participated in a variety of committees on topics including the Venezuelan Crisis, 2020; Senatus Populusque Romanus, 67 B.C.; Organization of American States; and the Congress of Vienna, 1814.
The team participated in a grueling committee schedule over the three-day conference, during which Madeleine Green '20 received a Verbal Commendation for her role as Leonard James, Director of History in the 1984 panel. They also heard from keynote speaker Mr. Christian Wenaweser, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of the Principality of Liechtenstein to the United Nations.
