McDonogh Dances 2022
Upper schoolers dazzled audiences in two performances of McDonogh Dances 2022 over the weekend of February 5 and 6. The annual showcase of talent,featured 14 dances choreographed by students and faculty. Lighting and costumes added an extra element of drama to the performances. A short video reflection by members of the senior class gave the audience an insight into the role of dance in the students’ lives. After the final bow, the dancers invited Ilona Kessell on to the stage to celebrate her. Ilona will be retiring after 32 years of teaching dance at McDonogh. After receiving a bouquet of flowers, she left the dancers with one request, “Please continue dancing, that is what I really wish for all of you.”
