Among the many rich and varied collections housed in McDonogh School Archives & Special Collections is the Photographic Collection. Consisting of thousands of black/white and color photos, slides, negatives, and other images, this extensive collection documents the many facets of life at McDonogh over the School’s 146-year history. Campus scenes and buildings, athletic activities, student organizations, and daily life in general, are among the highlights found in this expansive collection.
Although the majority of these images come from the School Archives, others, such as personal photo albums, document the individual experiences of students and faculty while at McDonogh School and are found in Special Collections.
To date, several thousand photographs and other images have been identified and processed into more than 300 main subject headings and sub-headings.

The Archives are currently located on the second floor of Lyle Building. Photographs are being continuously processed, so be sure to check the Photograph & Image Collection Finding Aid for current updates!
