This four-day workshop is designed for individuals as well as small cohorts of classroom teachers, department chairs, team leaders, and academic deans. The content is applicable to all grade levels.

LifeReady Summer Institute
JULY 17-20, 2023
You’re a classroom teacher in 2023, and you are expected to do it all. You must prepare students in your subject and be knowledgeable about the latest research on learning, but you are also responsible for making sure your students are:
Socially and emotionally grounded | Culturally and globally competent | Proficient in the latest technologies | Citizens of character who serve others
The LifeReady Summer Institute will help you teach for content mastery while simultaneously developing these other vital competencies in your students.
Tuition
The cost is $599, which includes lunch each day and one farm-to-table dinner at McDonogh’s very own Roots Farm!
Lodging is not included in tuition.

WHAT YOU’LL DISCOVER
Participants will be introduced to new concepts, engage with a range of practices, and have the opportunity to apply their new knowledge by designing a lesson or unit that teaches subject matter and 21st-century LifeReady competencies at the same time. By the end of the workshop, participants will have the tools to:
- Design lessons and units that weave content learning with competency development
- Produce metrics that measure student achievement
Additional takeaways include frameworks for future planning, curated resources to use in your teaching, a network of like-minded teachers with whom you can continue to collaborate.
