Several weeks before the end of the school year, the entire school community gathers on Childs Memorial Terrace for Headmaster's Day--an awards ceremony and recognition celebration. Employees who have given 25 years of service to the school are recognized, as well as those who are retiring from McDonogh. After the faculty-staff honors are presented, lower and middle schoolers are dismissed and Upper School students remain for their year-end awards ceremony.
