African-American History Celebrations
Lower school students wrapped up their study of African-American history with culminating celebrations which highlighted the importance of social justice and being a responsible citizen. On Friday, March 9, the kindergarten and prefirst classes participated in hands on activities such as crafts, cooking, and music. The first through fourth graders experienced African-American culture, Tuesday, March 13, with food and family traditions, and music and dance of the Harlem Renaissance.
