A Great Pumpkin Adventure
Decked out in boots and big smiles, the kindergartners piled onto the back of a tractor for a hayride to Roots Farm on Friday, September 27. They were taking a trip to harvest pumpkins, which many of them planted earlier in the summer. As the hayride wound its way through campus, older students and administrators emerged from the buildings to wave the students on their way. At Roots, the little Eagles each picked two pumpkins—one to take home and the other for cooking in the classroom. Soon the pumpkins will become delicious pumpkin bread and pies to be shared with the community and on Grandparents’ Day.
