Roots Picnic and Pumpkin Planting
Under the summer evening sun, the incoming kindergarten class (and their parents) enjoyed a picnic supper and pumpkin planting at Roots Farm on Tuesday, June 6.
After planting more than 800 pumpkin seeds, the children harvested juicy, red strawberries from the patch. The students are already anticipating their return to school in the fall to enjoy strawberry jam, pick their pumpkins, and make pies and bread.
